    You could dilute the Indian Tamarind pastes... The thickness is similar to a tomato paste. I find that the quality and flavour of the Indian tamarind products to be vastly superior to Thai. You could also get Mexican canned tamarind, that has a similar taste to the Indian one's.

    Tried it, something is off with my recipe, too salty and taste very mustard with little heat. Between tenderizing my chicken too much and maybe over salting the brine somehow even though I measured it correctly gonna need to tweak it.

    • @farmageddon
      @farmageddon 3 дні тому

      Yeah, the recipe is very finicky with the salt levels. If they're off even by a little it can throw everything off balance. It's probably coming from the brine. I would brine it less or cut down the salt by 10-20%.

    Made these yesterday. They were fantastic! What a treat to have them fresh and hot right out of the fryer, and so easy too! I didn’t have any food coloring so ended up with clear hot & sour sauce, which was a bit odd, but of course the flavor was fine. I added a little extra vinegar to the dipping sauce for my taste. Love your channel, Jason. Next up on my list to try is the hibachi fried rice. Made a big batch of steamed rice over the weekend in anticipation. Other recipes I’d love to see you tackle: kung pao, moo shi (moo shu in some places), I guess), barbq rbs (both with and without bones), and hot & sour soup.

      @@farmageddon OMG.... I need to rack my brain! Lol. It's been a few years. I'm homeless. I used to live in the woods in my camper van. I often get creative with food bank donations. I cooked over wood, meats usually over charcoal. MUST use FRESH garlic and fresh onion . Dice it and cook it with OLIVE oil until tender. Remove and set aside. Orange fresh sweet peppers!!! Orange ones have the best taste. Fry until tender... Remove. Fresh cherry tomatoes... Chop and Lightly fry with same oil for a minute or two to soften it. Remove. Next fry the white rice in same oil, add more olive oil if needed until it's golden brown. Next add chicken broth cubes, small amount of water and a regular can of tomato sauce. Add Sea salt Cumin Smoked paprika Dash of cayenne Dried oregano Cilantro doesn't hurt! Mix Toss in the fresh onion, garlic, and orange peppers, cherry tomatoes.... Simmer until rice is cooked. In a separate pan.... Cook fresh chicken in lightly oiled with olive oil ... Add garlic and onion powder, sea salt on chicken. Then add the cooked chicken into the fully cooked rice . Then take a bite and say ole! Bravo!!! I haven't tried adding green olives before, but I've often enjoyed it from my parents Spanish friends. Using spaghetti sauce with many spices added can be very tricky. I cooked it over wood I found on ground... Often usually berry wood. I hope I'm not forgetting anything.

    i have a request. When I lived in Massachusetts all the Chinese restaurants had delicious chicken wings. They were marinated and fried I believe. I live in Florida now and I have yet to find the same type of marinated and fried chicken wings. Basically what they have down here is simply fried wings using batter and definitely not the same as what we got in massachusetts. If you know what i am referring to and had a how to on the wings I would love it!!
